Export Bahrain Concludes Its Participation at the China International Import Expo 2025

Export Bahrain has successfully concluded its participation in the 8th edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025 in Shanghai, with the strategic support of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” and Gulf Air.

As part of its participation, Export Bahrain organized the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national pavilion under the theme “Cultural Roots, Global Horizons”, in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Bahrain and with the support of strategic partners “Tamkeen” and “Gulf Air”. The pavilion served as a key platform to promote national products and services and to expand commercial ties between the two friendly nations.

The pavilion showcased Bahrain’s strengths and capabilities through curated sectoral presentations and specialized workshops, offering visitors a rich and cohesive experience. It also provided a dynamic environment that encouraged strategic partnerships, facilitated business dialogues, and enabled productive bilateral meetings.

Over the six-day event, the pavilion attracted a wide audience of officials, stakeholders, entrepreneurs, investors, and strategic partners worldwide. Export Bahrain showcased 84 products from 39 businesses and organized 240 B2B meetings, allowing for ongoing commercial collaboration between the countries. In addition, Export Bahrain strengthened its presence by participating in three major events and signing two MoUs with leading entities, opening new avenues for future partnerships and cooperation.

On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of Export Bahrain, highlighted the significance of the Kingdom’s third consecutive participation in CIIE. He noted that this continued presence reflects a clear trajectory through which Export Bahrain has worked to strengthen the international presence of Bahrain-based businesses in key global markets. His Excellency emphasized that the national pavilion demonstrated Bahrain’s productive capabilities and showcased the vitality, competitiveness, and diverse growth drivers of the national economy.

Ms. Safa Sharif Abdulkhaliq, Chief Executive Officer of Export Bahrain, stated that this year’s participation underscores Bahrain’s readiness to engage in high-impact global strategic partnerships and demonstrates the Kingdom’s competitive strengths in advanced business environments. She added that the pavilion focused on sectors where Bahrain-based businesses lead on quality and execution, achieving meaningful engagement that translated into tangible strategic outcomes and solid foundations for long-term collaboration. She affirmed Export Bahrain’s commitment to sustaining this momentum and translating the Kingdom’s growing international presence into concrete, sustainable results that reinforce Bahrain’s position as a leading and influential hub in the global economy.
