Bolstering its Efforts to Ramp Up National Exports: Export Bahrain Signs Strategic Partnership with the National Bank of Bahrain

Export Bahrain has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) to support Bahrain-based businesses through access to financial and other services.

This MoU is in line with Export Bahrain commitment to expanding the global reach of Bahrain-based exporters. It is also coherent with NBB’s drive to support Bahraini companies throughout their whole business cycle.  This new strategic partnership will assist viable enterprises by providing them banking solutions that will help them grow their cross-border trade and expand globally.

Commenting on the occasion, Export Bahrain’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Safa Sharif Abdulkhaliq stated: “The primary focus of Export Bahrain is the establishment of mutually beneficial relationships that will encourage the export of national products and services and assist Bahrain-based businesses in overcoming any and all obstacles. We are delighted with our partnership with the National Bank of Bahrain, which is considered a pioneer in its field. We are certain that exporters will reap the benefits of this strategic collaboration by gaining enhanced access to various banking products and solutions in order to take advantage of additional international trade possibilities.”

On his part, Mr. Jean Christophe Durand, Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Bahrain, stated: “We are very pleased with this new partnership with Export Bahrain, NBB has been enhancing its trade finance offerings in the recent years to assist Clients develop their trade flows. We are confident that this MoU with Export Bahrain will further facilitate exports out of Bahrain, and, as a result, contribute to the economic recovery plan of the Kingdom.”
