Export Bahrain successfully concludes its participation at the Biban Global 23 Forum held in Riyadh under Monasha’at

Manama, Mar. 21. 2023: Export Bahrain successfully took part in the Biban Global 23 Forum, which was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) from March 9 to 13, 2023, with the participation of over 350 local and international speakers and 750 exhibitors from local, regional, and international entrepreneurs.

 

Ten companies from Bahrain joined Export Bahrain in its pavilion, which attracted more than 10,000 visitors, showcasing the Bahraini companies’ services and solutions, Export Bahrain offerings, discussing cooperation and growth opportunities in various markets around the globe, and shedding light on “Made in Bahrain” success stories.

 

With the tremendous exposure of the Export Bahrain Pavilion, the Bahraini companies inked more than eight deals worth more than 10 million USD, in addition to promoting multiple Bahraini products and services to hundreds of companies and investors from around the world.

 

Export Bahrain Pavilion also contributed by facilitating more than 100 B2B meetings with potential buyers, investors, and strategic partners, providing more than 200 investment opportunities. Furthermore, three participants in Export Bahrain’s pavilion have participated in Biban talks where they have highlighted their business offerings and value-added services provided. A notable achievement for the Export Bahrain Pavilion revolved around the Aladdin startup competition, where a Bahraini business represented by Export Bahrain reached the final round of the competition.

 

The forum has concluded with a total value of agreements and investments of over 52 billion SAR, over 3 million global online viewers, and 10 million SAR in awards and hackathons. The forum also welcomed over 145,000 visitors to the event, which consisted of 1200 exhibitors and participants. The forum also involved a wide range of training courses and consulting sessions.

 

Commenting on the occasion, Ms. Safa Abdulkhaliq, Chief Executive Officer of Export Bahrain, stated: “The Biban 23 forum’s great success reflects the high potentials of KSA and the region as a whole. The Biban 23 forum theme was “Fostering Tangible Opportunities”, allowing entrepreneurs to learn about investment opportunities in KSA and seeing the participation of more than 120 enablers of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the areas of procedures, finance, and services, in addition to the participation of 34 government entities reviewing their services to SMEs, in a bid to overcome the challenges and difficulties facing them in all sectors.
