The successful conclusion of the “The Exporters Championship – For the Youth”, launched under the Youth City 2030 initiative, was announced by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Export Bahrain as part of their strategic collaboration. The championship aimed to empower and support young entrepreneurs by equipping them with the practical skills and knowledge needed to explore global markets and develop innovative export projects.
The championship drew strong participation, with over 107 ambitious youth—including aspiring entrepreneurs—engaging in four intensive and hands-on workshops. These sessions covered essential topics such as product and service development, international marketing strategies, market selection, export research, readiness, and global logistics. The program’s interactive format enabled participants to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, strengthening their capabilities and enhancing their readiness for international expansion.
Four youth-led startups advanced to the final stage, where they pitched their business models and growth strategies to a panel of expert judges. The presentations showcased a high level of innovation and potential for international success.
“The Socks Store” won the “Exporters Championship — For the Youth” title, receiving tailored incentives and dedicated support to further develop the project and expand its presence across regional and global markets.
Ms. Rabab Khalaf, Planning and Market Intelligence Manager at Export Bahrain, stated: “The Exporters Championship – For the Youth represents a strategic step towards building a comprehensive ecosystem that empowers and supports young entrepreneurs in the export sector. Through this fruitful collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, we are contributing to the development of a strong foundation for export-driven entrepreneurship aligned with Bahrain’s efforts for economic diversification and enhanced global trade positioning.”
This initiative underscores the shared commitment of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Export Bahrain to strengthening the capabilities of the youth, creating meaningful opportunities for their contribution to national economic growth, and reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a leading hub for international trade in the region.
