Export Bahrain successfully concludes visit amongst the Kingdom’s official economic delegation to Japan and South Korea

Export Bahrain with Japanese and Korean officials discuss ways to broaden trade cooperation. 

 23 May 2023 (Manama, Bahrain) Export Bahrain’s visit to Japan and South Korea led by an official high level economic delegation headed by H.E. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce and including H.E Noor Bint Ali AlKhulaif; Minister of Sustainable Development witnesses focal industrial deal closure and several newly formed industrial alliances. The scope of the visit was aimed at fostering key trade ties and partnerships with the purpose of solidifying investment and economic alignment. 

 Throughout the visit, Export Bahrain met with a wide range of key stakeholders across various sectors where a range of opportunities for Bahraini establishments were explored. A notable deal closure has taken place as a result of Export Bahrain’s proactive negotiations with a number of key entities during the visit which resulted in jointly devising a progressive agreement for a trading partnership valued over USD 2M at over a period of 3 years for a Bahrain based enterprise. The agreement signed will involve the supply of aluminum sow, laundered materials and ceramic filters and more.   

 Furthermore, Export Bahrain has conducted over 10 business meetings with key enterprises in addition to holding various partnership discussions to be finalized with – the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan Trade Bank, Korea Trade Promotion Corporation, Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other vital stakeholders. The partnerships are set to bilaterally initiate key initiatives that bring forth new opportunities for key industries between the partnering countries in addition to opening new communication channels that elevate the effectiveness of connecting enterprises. The strong capability and readiness of increasing Bahrain’s industrial output is a true testament to the caliber of progressive organizations available to the Kingdom of Bahrain that have the potential to grow and capitalize on opportunities on a global scale.
